God made us to know him, to love him, and to serve him here on earth and to be with him one day in heaven. Christian stewardship is a spiritual way of living that recognizes and celebrates that all I am and all I have are gifts from God to be used for His glory and for His purposes. Christian stewardship is a spirituality that moves one from anxiety to trust, from greed to generosity, from self-centeredness to other-centeredness, from just taking to always loving and giving.

In his beautiful prayer, St. Francis of Assisi sums it up so well when he says, “It is in giving that we receive.”
