What is the Order of Christian Initiation of adults (OCIA)?
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the process through which adults learn about the Catholic faith and discern becoming fully initiated into the Church through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and the Holy Eucharist. Whether you are exploring Catholicism for the first time, preparing to receive the sacraments, or seeking to complete your initiation, OCIA provides a welcoming environment for prayer, formation, and fellowship.
The journey unfolds in several stages—Inquiry, Catechumenate, Purification and Enlightenment, and Mystagogy—guiding participants in their relationship with Christ through prayer, Scripture, catechesis, and the support of the parish community. The process culminates in the celebration of the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil for those who are ready.

Interested in Becoming Catholic?
If you have not been baptized or have not received all your sacraments (such as First Communion or Confirmation), you're welcome to join the OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) Classes.
Classes are on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Knock Hall. Classes begin in August and continue until the Candidate meets all the necessary requirements and has been recommended by the OCIA Team to the Priest.
